Sarasa Comets
Comets are effectively the same as goldfish. They are generally red and white in colouration, and tend to have longer and more attractive fins. The sarasa comet is slightly more slender to a goldfish in body shape, allowing us to distinguish between sarasa comets, and red and white goldfish. These more ornate species are a lovely addition to any pond, and make a great colour impact. These peaceful fish generally grow to around 6-8” (15-20cm) in length, meaning they are suitable for even very small garden ponds.
Sarasas are a lot happier in small groups when they are small, but do not need to be in shoals as they get bigger. As a general rule, all small fish are more comfortable, and happier in small shoals.
