How To's

How to... 'Work out my ponds water capacity'

In order to work out the water capacity of your pond you need to measure its dimensions in feet (ft).

Square or Rectangular shaped ponds:

LENGTH x WIDTH x DEPTH x 6.25 = Gives you the ponds water capacity in 'Gallons'. (to further convert gallons into litres you should multiply by 4.5)

(e.g. 8ft x 5ft x 3ft x 6.25 = 750 gallons, 750 gallons x 4.5 = 3375 litres)

Circular shaped ponds:

RADIUS x RADIUS x 3.14 x DEPTH = Gives you the pond water capacity in 'Gallons'. (to further convert gallons into litres you should multiply by 4.5)

If you have any questions or require help working out the capacity please do feel free to call us on 01952 201970.
